Chicks with Sticks (It's a Purl Thing)

After her beloved Aunt Roz dies, Scottie seeks solace in a new hobby: knitting. Instantly hooked, she encourages her best friend, Amanda, to join the knitting circle at KnitWit, the funky yarn store in Andersonville. Once in class, they encounter other classmates, Tay and Bella. As a foursome, the teens become the Chicks with Sticks. Friendship and scarves ensue.

I really wanted to like this novel, but some aspects just didn't ring true for me. The random Chicago references weren't quite right, and there was at least one glaring yarn error in the novel. But it did make me want to attack my current work in progress. It will probably inspire a teen or two to pick up the needles.
