by Jane Green
Who is the other woman plaguing Ellie and Dan Cooper's marriage? Linda Cooper, the mother-in-law from hell, that's who! Interfering from the day Dan proposed to Ellie, Linda never knows when to stop and does whatever she pleases, despite Ellie's pleas or instructions. After their son is born, Linda's interference increases and brings Ellie's resentment to a boiling point. Can Dan and Ellie's marriage survive the ubiquitous Linda? Read and find out.
Okay, this is not the best book I've ever read. It's certainly not Green's best; it's not nearly as tightly written as her other novels. But it was a nice escape. And it made me very grateful that I don't have a meddling mother-in-law.
