Your Big Break

by Johanna Edwards

Dani Myers is not exactly proud of what she does for a living. She is a “communications specialist” for Your Big Break, Inc. What does she do? She does the dirty work of a break-up—she dumps people for you. She’s sweet, she’s subtle, and after a while, she starts to get a little too personal. Well, it had to happen, especially after she is asked to dump someone in her own family (she declines, of course).

After the shock of being asked to be involved in such a break-up, Dani loses control. Suddenly, she’s fixing up dumpees, befriending them, etc. Has she forgotten the rules of her job? Impartiality and a lack of personal involvement are the cornerstones of her career choice. Can she get back on track, or will her human side be her demise at Your Big Break?

This is a fabulous, light read. Dani is a lovable narrator, the concept of her job is brilliant, and the story is fun (and has a happy ending). I loved it!

PS: Her other novel was just as amusing.
