by J. A. Konrath
It's another Jacqueline "Jack" Daniels mystery, complete with a drink name for a title. And, oh, would you believe that she's investigating the murderous work of a Gingerbread Man copycat? Of course, you would!
This entry was even more gruesome than the last one, and, well, not very original. Why can't Mr. Konrath get a little creative?
In its favor, this is a fast read, full of suspense and gore (if you like that sort of thing).
As for me, I'm not going to read another one.

My favorite part was their trip to Busse Woods, only because it was a locale familiar to me!
I was just so disappointed that the Gingerbread Man's family was involved. I suspect that Mr. Konrath has no imagination, except when it comes to devising gross-out scenes.
