Blind Submission

by Debra Ginsberg

Angel Robinson needs a job. Her beloved position at Blue Moon, a bookstore, is eliminated when the owner decides to close the store. Angel’s wannabe writer-boyfriend, Malcolm, conveniently discovers an opening at a prestigious literary agency. Clueless Angel aces the interview and is quickly drawn into the world of Lucy Fiamma, literary agent.

Lucy is a crazy and demanding taskmaster, and Angel is forced to submit to her every whim. Busy, but happy to be reading manuscripts and talking to authors, Angel discovers that she has a knack for the business. Until she receives Blind Submission. . .

Blind Submission is a novel set in a literary agency, complete with characters much like those of the Lucy Fiamma Agency. And did I tell you that Angel receives the submission via email? And that the author is anonymous? Anyway, the novel bears more than a striking resemblance to the life of Angel and her cohorts, and as the plot becomes dangerous, Angel is determined to discover who has submitted Blind Submission.

This is The Devil Wears Prada meets The Bestseller. What? You haven’t read Olivia Goldsmith’s The Bestseller? Once you finish this novel, you must pick up Goldsmith’s. Both are delicious.
