Home to Big Stone Gap

by Adriana Trigiani

Ave Maria Mulligan MacChesney is back for yet another Big Stone Gap novel.
She is:
1. Depressed that her daughter is married and living in Italy
2. Still mourning the loss of her son, Joe, over 10 years ago and thinks that she is seeing him in the back woods
3. Directing the town's musical, The Sound of Music
4. Still the town's pharmacist

When Jack Mac has heart trouble, and Iva Lou's big secret is revealed, things heat up for Ave and force her to start living again.

Okay, this series is tired and not very good anymore. I still can't remember if I read the previous entry, Milk Glass Moon. It all just seems utterly forgettable.

I really liked the first book. And enjoyed meeting the author. But this was just too disappointing for words.
