Remind Me Again Why I Need a Man

by Claudia Carroll

37-year-old Amelia Lockwood has it all: great job, great home, great friends, and a great figure. Oh, except for one thing: she doesn’t have a husband. And this is bringing her down.

The successful television producer decides to be proactive and signs up for a class at the local college. The class promises to help her understand her romantic past and use the knowledge to find a husband. Her friends are skeptical, but Amelia is determined!

Her weekly homework for the class includes confronting her past. Each week she will get in touch with a past boyfriend and find out why the relationship didn’t work. As you can imagine, the results are hilarious. I won’t give anything away; I will only say this: Amelia’s mistakes lie in choosing unsuitable men. Very unsuitable men.

I loved this novel. Amelia is a very appealing protagonist, the situations are humorous, and the ending is not the typical romantic ending, which is fine. Recommended for fans of chick lit.
