Knit Two

by Kate Jacobs

This is the sequel to The Friday Night Knitting Club. Since I read TFNKC a while ago, I didn't realize that there really didn't need to be a sequel.

The club members are back, with the exception of Georgia Walker, who died in the first novel. Bummer! We revisit Darwin, the feminist professor who has just given birth to twins. Catherine's still beautiful and self-absorbed, and Dakota is still adjusting to her mother's death and her father's interference. Anita's getting married, and Peri's running the yarn shop and still making handbags. Ho hum!

There's a trip to Italy, love, reunion, and even a little tragedy in the novel. But there's no real substance. I kept saying to myself, "Who cares?" Clearly, Georgia Walker is the only interesting member of TFNKC, and now that she's dead, there's no reason to read another book about the club.

On the plus side, this was very easy to read. But still not worth my time.
