by Lewis Carroll
A nonsense novel for children, Carroll’s classic introduces us to Alice, the mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts and many others. Of course, there is no discernible plot and no real character development, but tons of wordplay, poetry, and odd, yet colorful scenes.
I read this so that I would have a point of reference for the newly released film. I suppose that I have some additional knowledge, but I’m not really sure how helpful it might be.
I’m glad that I finally read this, but I’m not convinced that it is necessary reading for children today.
