The Little Stranger

by Sarah Waters

Postwar Britain in the 1940s sets the stage for this “ghost story.”

Narrated by Dr. Faraday, our story begins with the good doctor being summoned to lonely Hundreds Hall. Dilapidated Hundreds Hall. It is here that he meets the Ayres family, which includes Mrs. Ayres and her grown children, Caroline and Roderick.

He befriends the family while treating Rod and is soon sucked into a home and family full of madness and creepiness.

Kinda long and not very scary, but it did keep my attention.
