Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch are back in Appaloosa, and you know what that means!
Appaloosa has a new sheriff, Amos Callico. Like all of the bad guys in this series, Callico is power-hungry and ready to seize control of the town by any means necessary.
Adding to the excitement is General Laird. His son has just been killed by Cole, and he has definite plans to avenge his son’s death.
Hitch and Cole have two tasks: to stay alive and to align themselves with the right men.
As always, Parker does not disappoint with this western. If only he could write more!
