Two stories are told in this novel of loneliness and love. . .
First, there is the tale of 14-year-old Alma Singer. Quite simply, she wants her widowed mother to stop being so lonely. The key to helping her mother may lie in the book her mother is translating: The History of Love.
The second story highlights the life of Leo Gursky. A long time ago, he was in love, and he worte a book about the love of his life: The History of Love.
Both Alma and Leo will touch readers’ hearts.
