The Fault in Our Stars

by John Green

16-year-old Hazel has been battling cancer since she was diagnosed at the age of 13. She has never been anything but terminal. As you might imagine, Support Group is not this young lady’s favorite thing.

But everything changes on that fateful day that her mother forces her to attend Support Group. Isaac, a group member, brings his friend, Augustus Waters, to the meeting. For Hazel, it is love at first sight. Augustus is gorgeous, and he has cancer, so he totally understands Hazel.

I won’t spoil the rest for you. It is a wonderful love story for teens, as well as a painful and realistic portrayal of illness and dying.

Highly recommended.
