by William Shakespeare
Macbeth is one of several plays I’ve never read, but should have. As with all of Shakespeare’s plays, there are just a few key things to remember:
• Macbeth is a murderous Scot who wants to usurp power, starting with Duncan, King of Scotland;
• His wife, Lady Macbeth, is equally dangerous; and
• The three witches: "Double, double toil and trouble, Fire burn and cauldron bubble."
Really, there isn’t much to this play, except for a whole lot of senseless killing. Still, I’m glad that I finally read it.
