The Dashwood Sisters Tell All

by Beth Pattillo

Ellen and Mimi hardly resemble Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, but that doesn’t stop their Austen-loving mother from trying to foster closeness between them. Even from the grave!

As part of her will, their mother orders the sisters to take a walking tour of Austen’s England together. After the trip has been completed, they will receive their inheritance. Naturally, the trip is far more interesting than they anticipated. Romance abounds, Sense and Sensibility-style, of course. And there’s even a little intrigue involving a journal belonging to an Austen sister.

At first, I was not so sure about this novel, but it grew on me. It’s not the best fan fiction out there, but it does have some entertainment value.
