A graphic novel for young readers, Bake Sale focuses on Cupcake, a baker, and his recent baking rut.
When his best friend, Eggplant, mentions that his aunt Aubergine knows the famous pastry chef, Turkish Delight, Cupcake has an idea. If he can travel to Turkey with Eggplant and meet Turkish Delight, he can find baking inspiration again.
Eager to raise money for the trip to Turkey, Cupcake thinks outside the box and stages several bake sales, all themed for different occasions and locales. His sales are quite successful.
It is in this process that Cupcake finds baking inspiration. He didn’t need to meet a famous pastry chef after all.
