Lady Sarah Pleinsworth is a Smythe-Smith cousin. Lord Hugh Prentice once dueled with Daniel Smythe-Smith. Readers met these two in a previous novel, and they are now the couple to watch. . .
Lady Sarah resents Hugh for having driven Daniel off the continent. Her family was shamed by the duel, and a great season was wasted in exile. As a result, Sarah is convinced that she will never marry.
Hugh, on the other hand, knows nothing of Lady Sarah. He is obsessed with the crippling injury from that infamous duel. He, too, is convinced that he will never marry.
Three years after the duel, Sarah and Hugh are thrown together at a Smythe-Smith wedding. Can the two overcome the obstacles associated with that duel? Can they find the love that they both crave?
Of course! One of the plot twists is a little kooky, but all in all, this is a quite enjoyable romance.
