Sara Frost's Charlotte Brontë research is going nowhere; however, her boyfriend of six years has just decided to go to Paris. Without her. Additionally, the funding for her research has been thwarted by visiting lecturer Claire Vigee and her extremely sexy academic specialty: Princess Diana studies. Amidst this chaos, Sara meets a filmmaker at one of Claire's parties, and a movie about Charlotte Brontë is born.
This is a must-read for any Brontëphiles or anyone who has ever taken their studies seriously. When a brokenhearted scholar of literature collides with Hollywood and a crass, self-promoting Dianaphile, you just know that hilarity will ensue!

That sounds really interesting! However, and I know I'm about to commit a huge sin by telling you this and I know you're going to gasp, but I have not read any of the Bronte sisters work so perhaps I should before I read this...
And now, several have mentioned that I should ask you about Laurell K Hamilton, because I was laughing at the book description in bookpage ("Anita flies to St. Louis, where she faces the most difficult zombie raising of her life." LOL!)Besides the fact that someone mentioned the fact that she is a giant slut, what do you think of the books?
Cheryl,
My favorite novel (of all novels I've ever read) is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I highly recommend it.
As for LKH, I love the earlier books by her. Yes, Anita is an animator by trade (raising the dead), but she's so much more! And she's got a boyfriend (Jean Claude) who's a very sexy vampire. Start with the first book, Guilty Pleasures, and tell me what you think.
As for the Bronte project, you don't need to read any Bronte novels to appreciate it. Read it for the Diana scholar character.
