The Big Love

by Sarah Dunn

Alison's just been rather unceremoniously dumped by her live-in boyfriend, Tom. Already at loose ends, she also loses her job. What's a nice girl to do? Keep wishing and hoping and praying that he comes back to her? Or assert herself and start over? It's a struggle for Alison to give up on Tom, and it's going to take a lot for her to let go of him. Is Tom her Big Love, or is it time to move forward?

I read this because it was recommended to me by chick lit author Laura Caldwell. I have to say, I wouldn't consider this chick lit. It was whiny and depressing; it lacked the frothiness that I've come to expect in a book with a pink cover. I know that others have embraced it, but I have no love for The Big Love.
