If you're turned off by the title of this novel, fret not, dear reader. Single women with no interest in babies will enjoy this one. Of course, how can you go wrong with a pink cover?!
The novel contains three women's stories, which just happen to intertwine:
- Julia: Living with her boyfriend, trying to conceive (but failing), failure at conception is taking over her life
- Maeve: Single, no interest in reproduction, finds herself pregnant and doesn't know what she wants to do
- Sam: New mother of George, married, extremely unhappy and contemplating an affair
Once again, I'm impressed with Jane Green's writing. Though you may not like any of the three women when you first start reading, you're soon pulled in and cannot put down the book until you know how each story ends.
Very entertaining.
