(Sequel to The Dim Sum of All Things)
Lindsay Owyang is back! Still in San Francisco, she's working two odd jobs (museum store and Catholic school) and living with her boyfriend, Michael. Michael does not appear to be Asian, though he is also not a "hoarder of all things Asian." All is well until an old crush, Dustin, shows up in town. Lindsay had a huge crush on him in the sixth grade, and he is, after all, Asian.
Dustin's return, as well as Lindsay's renewed interest in her family history cause much confusion in the young woman's mind. Does she love Michael? Is she more Asian (on the inside) than she thought?
This novel seems much more disjointed than the first one. But I still enjoyed it.
