by Alice Munro
This is a collection of 8 short stories by the fabulous Alice Munro. All of the stories, in one way or another, address the issues of running away, chance, and looking back at one's life and one's decisions. Each story takes place in Canada, and it's a bleak Canada. But don't let that deter you, dear reader. These stories are rich and deep and just as satisfying as a thick novel.
To tell you anything else would be to give something away. You simply must read this and enjoy it. Read one story, or read the whole thing. You will not be disappointed. I promise.

PS: I read this for a book discussion. And I'll be reading more Munro in the future!
