Dear Reader,
This is a modern version of Miss Austen's fine novel, Persuasion. Miss Fortune (Jane) (great name, isn't it?) is the 38-year-old Bostonian spinster who runs her wealthy family's foundation, as well as the Euphemia Review, a literary journal named for her grandmother. Life is okay for Jane, but she has always regretted breaking off her relationship with Max, her former boyfriend (a now very successful novelist).
When Max returns to Boston, and the Fortune family's finances go downhill, all sorts of things change for Jane. If you've read Persuasion, you know what happens next.
I'm not opposed to retelling a great novel, and I would never turn away another retelling of an Austen novel. This one was very entertaining and very easy to read.

It does sound like fun- and I do love the name!
I liked it a lot. Persuasion is my second favorite Austen novel.
