by Emily Giffin
From the author of Something Borrowed and Something Blue comes Baby Proof, a delightfully unrelated novel. Claudia doesn't want to have a baby; in fact, she has never wanted to have a baby. And that's okay because her husband, Ben, doesn't want one either. Well, he didn't want one when they got married. . .
When Ben decides that he wants a baby, and Claudia holds firmly to beliefs, conflict arises, and divorce ensues. She is left heartbroken and constantly wondering if she has made the right decision. Meanwhile, everyone around her is having a baby or trying to have a baby. She's just trying to cope with her broken marriage.
I like Claudia. She's not afraid to say that she doesn't want a baby, which is a very unpopular sentiment in our society. She is strong, and she knows what she wants (and doesn't want). Admirable, if you ask me.
By the way, this novel is just as good as Giffin's first two. Enjoy!
