by Julia Quinn
Gregory Bridgerton is the last single Bridgerton sibling, thus, our story revolves around him. He's not eager to marry, but is absolutely smitten the moment he beholds the beautiful Hermione Watson. Alas, she marries someone else. Her equally lovely friend, Lady Lucinda Abernathy, appeals to Gregory also, but she is practically engaged. But not thrilled about it.
Lucy and Gregory connect, and he insists that she break the engagement. But something (or someone) is making her keep her promise to her betrothed. Will Gregory stop the wedding in progress, or will Lucy become unhappily married? Can the two come together despite all odds? Read and find out.
This is definitely another weak effort from Quinn, whose Bridgerton series started out strongly, but has finished rather weakly. Still, I just had to see how the series ended. My advice: if you want to read the series, start at the beginning and stop with Colin Bridgerton (Romancing Mister Bridgerton).
