The Time Traveler's Wife

by Audrey Niffenegger

Henry is a librarian in Chicago and a time traveler. He is also married to Clare, an artist originally from South Haven, MI. He travels backwards and forwards in time, disappearing and reappearing at the most inconvenient times.

Their relationship is unconventional, to say the least. This love story is unconventional as well.

This is the second time I've read this (book discussion). The novel succeeds in terms of plot, but not characterization.

The Three Incestuous Sisters
by Audrey Niffenegger

This is a wretched picture book by the author of The Time Traveler's Wife. Obviously, her successful first novel allowed her to publish this piece of garbage. It's a picture book for adults, and the story is a little too strange for me. This should make for interesting conversation at tomorrow night's book discussion.

How did the discussion go?

I looked at the pictures in her second "book" and read the summary, and I was less than impressed. And I usually love stories about incestuous sisters!

Gosh, you could read the "book" in 5 minutes. Utter garbage.
