by Christopher Moore
Jody has just become a vampire, and she had no say in the matter. Suddenly, she is confined to roaming the streets after sundown and has no idea how she's going to conduct any of her unfinished business. Enter C. Thomas "Tommy" Flood, an aspiring writer from Incontinence, Indiana and a night shift manager at the Marina Safeway. His nights are filled with frozen turkey bowling with his night crew, the Animals, and his days are occupied with his real love, writing.
When Jody approaches Tommy, he is, of course, flattered. She is beautiful and interested in him. But when dead bodies start showing up (death by vampire) and Tommy becomes a suspect, it's going to take a little more than love from a bloodsucking fiend to save him.
Funny, irreverent, and a true Christopher Moore masterpiece from start to finish. Vampires have never been so much fun.
