Claire Fontaine is wealthy, beautiful, and obsessed with style. Henry Bennett is a fat, sloppy, and unstylish private eye. Claire just started working with him, and they make an interesting team.
Young Beth Valentine has been murdered, and the police can't seem to find her murderer. Henry is more than determined to do so, and Claire is more than eager to help. From exclusive clubs to Hollywood prostitutes, the duo scours southern California for clues.
I liked this mystery. It's light and fun and full of fashion. Claire is quirky, and Henry is constantly having to reign her in. And would you believe that one of her shoes saves the day?
