You Don't Love Me Yet

by Jonathan Lethem

Lucinda’s in a band with her three friends: Denise, Matthew, and Bedwin. A band with no name. And no gigs. And not that many songs.

But everything changes when Lucinda’s participation in an art installation (answering a “complaint” line) leads to new lyrics for the band. One of Lucinda’s regular complainers inspires her with his poetic language, and several new songs ensue.

A short, quick read. Kind of strange, kind of good.
