Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

by J. K. Rowling

It’s year five at Hogwarts, and Harry Potter is an astonishing 15 years old! As usual, he joins Ron, Hermione, and the rest of the gang for an intense and fiercely competitive year at the school for wizards. But some things have changed: Ron and Hermione are now prefects, and Harry is suddenly the odd man out. He is further isolated because very few members of the wizard community believe his account of the return of You-Know-Who at the tri-wizard tournament.

And Harry’s changed: he’s moody, and he’s got a huge crush on Cho. But never mind that—those aspects of the teen are somewhat stilted and hard to believe. Do believe this: there will be magic (and magical creatures) and yet another exciting showdown with He Who Must Not Be Named.

Engrossing and exciting, I enjoyed meeting the Hogwarts gang again (haven’t read HP since Goblet of Fire was published). I’m ready for the movie this summer!
