Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

by J. K. Rowling

It’s year #6 for Harry and the gang at Hogwarts. Security is even tighter at the school for wizards, and the threat of You-Know-Who is stronger than ever.

Now the students are examining possible career paths and taking classes in their strongest subjects. Oh, yeah, Harry is the captain of his quidditch team, too.

I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say this: Harry spends a lot of time with Dumbledore in this novel. He learns about You-Know-Who’s past. Also, he receives some unsolicited help in his potions class from an old textbook that used to be owned by the “half-blood prince.” The true identity of the prince isn’t revealed until the end, but you can probably figure it out. I did.

All in all, an enjoyable ride with Harry and friends. I’ve ordered #7 from Amazon. Can’t wait!
