On Chesil Beach

This tiny novel tells the story of one couple, Edward and Florence, and their disastrous wedding night. Both are virgins, and, well, Florence is both scared and repulsed. And neither have ever expressed their feelings prior to their wedding night.

Of course, it's not a good experience for either party. And the ending's not happy either.

Still, I liked it.
