A posh (obviously) prep school on Manhattan's Upper East Side sets the stage for various dramas in this slim volume.

Main characters include:

Morgan, a senior whose mother just died

Julianne, Morgan's best friend and charity case

Dee, Julianne's mom who was a great novelist and now drives a cab

Kathryn "Lazy" Hoffman, headmistress and adulteress

Michael, Julianne's psychotic boyfriend

This was a quick, fun read. The characters are fairly well-developed and interesting. And the cover on this book is too attractive to ignore.
