Sookie Stackhouse, the telepathic waitress from Louisiana, is back! Of course, she is joined by her vampire boyfriend and shape-shifting employer.

In this outing, Sookie has two mysteries on her plate: the body of Lafayette, the cook at Merlotte’s, has been found in the trunk of Andy Bellefleur’s vehicle, and Sookie has been summoned to help the vampires in Dallas find a kidnapped vampire

Basically, Sookie’s in too deep, and she’s going to need more help than Bill can provide. Of course, more characters and creatures will be introduced into the series.

Although I think Harris is getting a little Laurell K. Hamilton on me, I’m going to keep reading this series. If it gets too goofy, I’ll stop.
