Dead to the World

Sookie's back, and Bill is out of town again. He's in Peru dealing with vampire database business, so Sookie's on her own, and you know what that means--trouble.

A coven of witches has come to Shreveport and cast a spell on Eric. Under this spell, Eric has amnesia. He remembers absolutely nothing, which makes him powerless, benign, and downright likable. Sookie agrees to protect Eric and keep him at her place, at least until the vampires can take care of business with the witches. Needless to say, sparks fly.

Meanwhile, Sookie's brother, Jason, has disappeared. He was last spotted at Merlotte's with a shifter, and Sookie's concerned. This provides the mystery element in the novel.

Vampires, shifters, and witches--oh my! It sounds like Harris is entering LKH territory, but she's still holding her own with book 4 in the series. This series continues to be frothy vampire fun.
