by Charlaine Harris
Sookie's back, but I'm not really sure why!
Sure, there are were wars, vampire takeovers, and the introduction of Sookie's great-grandfather, but really, those are all just separate little stories. There's no main story that reaches through the entire novel. Instead, Harris presents us with bits and pieces until we realize that the plot for which we've been waiting has never surfaced!
And she breaks up with Quinn. Thank goodness. And she still lusts after Eric and admits to the same with Bill, who is still my favorite vamp.
All in all, I'm amazed that someone published this. And that I read it. But I really do love Sookie and her world.
