Gus and Call are crusty old former Texas rangers. They have decided to lead a cattle drive from Texas to Montana.
Death. Hardship. Whores. Gambling. Horse thieves. Indians. Hangings. Lost loves. Sheriffs. Abandonment. This cattle drive has it all!
Seriously, this is an epic western. So many characters, so many little subplots. Way too much to include in my review.
Read it, if you must. But be warned: the first 200 or so pages go by very slowly. If you hang in there, you'll be rewarded.
