The Case of the Missing Servant

by Tarquin Hall

Meet Vish Puri, India's most private investigator! Vish is a portly PI with a penchant for greasy food and Sandown caps.

In his debut, Puri is called upon to investigate the murder of a maid. All that is know of the maid is that her name is Mary. How in the world will he find out the identity of the maid, much less the identity of her killer?

Well, Vish has lots of help from his colorfully named operatives, as well as a wealth of experience to guide him.

Compared to The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, this is a meatier mystery. Additionally, Puri is extremely cynical about his country of origin.

A worthy debut.
