Resolution

by Robert B. Parker

It's western #6 for 2009!

Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch are back, and the gunslingers are mighty busy. After leaving Appaloosa, Hitch finds himself in a town called Resolution.

Here, he and Cole are hired to defend the interests of Amos Wolfson, the town's big business owner. With no mayor, no town council, and no sheriff, Hitch and Cole are the law.

The trouble begins when Wolfson gets a little too greedy. Plenty of shots fired and plenty of dead bodies.

The writing is spare, the dialogue is snappy, and Cole & Hitch are an unforgettable team. I'm really enjoying Parker as a new western writer.
