How Starbucks Saved My Life: A Son of Privilege Learns to Live Like Everyone Else

What happens when a man of privilege loses his fancy job, his family, and even his health? If the man in question is Gill, he goes to Starbucks for a latte and winds up with a job. A humbling experience, no doubt. Ugh.

The writing rambles (editor, please), and the name-dropping (Hemingway, Sinatra) nauseates. And yet, it’s fun to read.
