Brimstone

My 9th western of 2009 and the 3rd in the series featuring Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch.

After leaving Resolution, Cole and Hitch head down to Texas, where they just happen to find Allie, Cole’s girlfriend/hussy from Appaloosa. The threesome makes their way to Brimstone. In Brimstone, the guys work as deputies, and Allie attempts to redeem herself, playing the church’s organ (instead of the saloon’s piano).

The big conflict in town appears to be between Brother Percival, the zealot, and Pike, the proprietor of Pike’s Palace (saloon and whorehouse). But all is not what it seems to be!

I enjoyed the dialogue between Cole and Hitch, as well as their friendship.
