The Finishing Touches

by Hester Browne

This is the absolutely charming tale of a woman, a finishing school, and the search for one’s identity.

Betsy Phillimore was left on the steps of the Phillimore Academy as a baby. She was raised by the academy’s owners and grew up learning the ins and outs of good manners and social graces. But when the time came, Betsy was not allowed to attend the finishing school. Instead, she pursued a degree in math.

Now, at the age of 27, Betsy has returned to the academy because her mother has died. Finishing schools are no longer relevant, and attendance is at an all-time low at Phillimore Academy. It’s up to Betsy to save the family’s business, but can an “unfinished” woman save a finishing school? Read and find out!

Delightful!
