Bite Me

by Christopher Moore

This is the super strange third entry in Moore’s vampire trilogy. It’s so strange/awful/awkward that I had to check my journal. Had I liked the two previous novels? I did! I loved Bloodsucking Fiends and was amused by You Suck, but I have no love for Bite Me.

Our favorite bloodsucking fiends, Tommy and Jody, are back for this adventure. But so is that weirdo goth girl, Abby Normal, from You Suck. Her narration, which was entertaining in You Suck, is hardly readable in Bite Me. In fact, it took me a few pages to finally understand what was meant by the use of “’kayso.” A fat vampire cat, several vampire rats, and all sorts of other weirdness round out the cast of characters in this train wreck of a novel.

‘Kayso, it’s all very weird and so not worth your time. Skip it.
