A grisly discovery in an Irish peat bog brings together Irish archaeologist Cormac Maguire and American pathologist Nora Gavin. Together they are resolved to determine the identity of the young woman whose head was discovered.
Also, another mystery looms: two years earlier, Mina Osborne and her young son disappeared without a trace. With all eyes on Mina’s husband, Hugh, and no real evidence to back up that assertion, the case seems unsolvable.
Of course, Nora and Cormac will solve both mysteries. It’s a shame that the mysteries are boring, and the sleuths are unappealing. A real dud!
