Winter is here, and trouble’s brewing in Lake Eden, at least when it comes to the bakery biz. Shawna Lee Quinn, Hannah’s rival in the last mystery, has opened Magnolia Blossom Bakery right across the street from Hannah’s Cookie Jar. The nerve! Plus, there’s something going on with Shawna Lee and Hannah’s boyfriend, Mike.
The war between bakeries is not the only thing going on in Lake Eden. Lisa and Herb are getting married on Valentine’s Day. As the wedding day looms, Hannah watches her business hit the skids, as everyone is trying out the new bakery on the block. Things are looking pretty grim for Hannah as she celebrates her business partner’s happiness, while scrambling for funds to save her business.
Only one thing can save Hannah: the death of the Magnolia Blossom Bakery. Or Shawna Lee Quinn. Isn’t it convenient that the dead body found after the wedding is, indeed, the body of Shawna Lee Quinn?
With the bakery competition and the boyfriend competition, Hannah is the perfect suspect. Can she clear her name and find the killer?
Of course! Hannah is slightly more annoying in this outing, but I still enjoy this series.
