Carrot Cake Murder

Hannah Swensen is back! And so is murder in tiny Lake Eden, MN. This entry’s victim is Lisa’s long-lost Uncle Gus, who has accidentally shown up for the big family reunion.

Gus left Lake Eden under mysterious circumstances so many years ago. Suddenly, he’s back and apparently quite wealthy. Why did he return? And why would anyone kill him?

Hannah soon learns that the better question is: who didn’t want to kill Gus? It seems as though Gus was never very popular in Lake Eden.

So, it’s more cookies, casseroles, and yes, of course, carrot cake. Hannah may not be at her finest in this outing, but the story is entertaining, and the carrot cake recipe looks enticing.
