The Glass Castle

by Jeannette Walls

Born to a dreamy, artist mother and an alcoholic ne’er do well father, Jeannette Walls had a tough childhood. With two sisters and a brother, Jeannette spent many years struggling in poverty and a constant state of neglect, thanks to her selfish and reckless parents. The Glass Castle is her story.

Constantly moving and accustomed to hardship, Walls developed a thick skin and a deep desire to escape her parents. Thankfully, she did escape them and lived to tell her tale.

So incredible that it reads like fiction and so real that you know it’s true.
