This is perhaps the flimsiest and most obvious mystery in this series.
In a nutshell: Reverend Bob Knudson is finally going to embark on his honeymoon with his bride, Claire. Bob’s childhood friend, Matthew, will be filling in at the church for him. As you might expect, Reverend Matthew is the latest murder victim in Lake Eden. And, of course, the delectable devil’s food cake is the creation of Grandma Knudson.
More than ever, the recipes in this novel are not enticing, and the Hannah/Mike/Norman love triangle takes a ridiculous and frustrating turn.
