The Magician King

Oh, how I wish I had reread The Magicians before reading its sequel! It seems as though I read it so long ago. On that note, it took me a while to remember certain details about the main characters while reading the sequel.

In any case, The Magician King picks up where The Magicians left off: Quentin Coldwater is now the Magician King of Fillory. Quentin is determined to embark on some sort of adventure, and his quest for the seven keys takes him to places he had never imagined.

While I did find this sequel easy to read, I did not think it was nearly as special as The Magicians.
