The Darlings

by Cristina Alger

Darling is not a term one would use when describing the Darling family. Rich? Yes. Privileged? Definitely. Carter and Ines are super-couple of sorts in New York, and their daughters, Lily and Merrill, are living the good life.

Things head downhill shortly after Merrill’s husband, Paul, accepts a position at his father-in-law’s hedge fund. Paul’s ex, who works for the SEC, tips him off to some bad behavior by the fund, and then the real fun begins.

A Ponzi scheme throws the Darling family into turmoil and family loyalty out the door.

This is a well-paced novel with interesting characters and a compelling plot. Read it!
